Earthquake-Resistant, Safe, and Innovative Structures
The IKCU Seismic Team, formed by Civil Engineering students from Izmir Katip Celebi University, combines engineering knowledge with modern technologies to build the cities of the future.

The IKCU Seismic team, formed by students of the Civil Engineering Department at Izmir Katip Celebi University, conducts studies on the design of earthquake-resistant structures and participates in national and international competitions with innovative projects.
Our team’s primary goal is to contribute to scientific and technological advancements in earthquake engineering, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications to provide experience for future engineers. We continue our work with a disciplined, dynamic, and eager-to-specialize team.
So far, we have had the opportunity to represent our university and country in prestigious organizations such as the DASK Earthquake Resistant Building Design Competition and the EERI Seismic Design Competition (SLC), gaining significant academic and technical experience.

In one of Turkey’s most prestigious earthquake engineering competitions, the DASK Earthquake Resistant Building Design Competition, our team develops innovative and safe structural solutions, gaining both technical and academic experience.

At the EERI Seismic Design Competition held in the USA, we compete with international teams, showcasing our knowledge and experience in earthquake-resistant building design on a global scale.

By combining durability, aesthetics, and engineering calculations, we develop modern steel bridge designs. These efforts contribute to infrastructure projects and broaden our structural engineering vision.
